Network Engineer
Helix Systems is a leading provider of outsourced Network Support services to organizations in New York Metro Area. Our customers depend on us to make sure their business is running smoothly by providing outstanding technical support in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Lead for Managed Services customer accounts - Provide proactive maintenance and support for network devices, servers and desktops remotely from our offices - Visit customer sites and provide onsite technical support - Install and manage monitoring, remote access and other system management tools at customer sites - Log Service Requests, Problem Resolutions and Billable Time into customer tracking system - Provide high-level Network Assessments - Document customer networks with Visio, create IT Policies documents, other technical documentation - Work with customers and team members to troubleshoot all IT-related issues - Advise customers on new technologies to meet their business objectives
Job Requirements:
- Must have 5+ years of field experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 Active Directory, Exchange 2003/2008 Sonicwall routers and firewalls - Previous experience working in an IT Support field is a plus - Additional experience in VMware, Microsoft Small Business Server, Microsoft Sharepoint, VoIP, Security, and Storage experience is a big plus - Must be team oriented, well rounded, organized, dependable and able to interact with customers effectively
